Warehouse Assistant
$12 USD Hourly wage
The basic hourly rate stated herein shall be increased by $1 per hour each year, until it reaches $15 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Stock materials and perform tasks such as order picking, packing and order scanning as part of the warehouse worker’s responsibilities.
- Manage the receipt, storage and distribution of merchandise, materials and equipment from warehouses or storage yards to replenish shelves, racks, tables or fulfill customer orders.
- Operate power equipment, as needed, to fulfill orders.
- Apply prices to merchandise and set up sales displays when necessary.
- Perform inventory controls to maintain high quality standards for audits.
- Ensure an orderly and safe working environment while optimizing space utilization.
- Maintain inventory records and promptly report any discrepancies.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration with supervisors and colleagues.
- Comply with established quality service standards, procedures, rules and regulations.
- Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, dusting and mopping.
- Maintain an organized and tidy warehouse and workspace at all times.
WORK SCHEDULE
40 hours per week, 160 hours per month, work shifts may vary and include nights or weekends.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS
The candidate must have a minimum English proficiency level of B1-Pre-intermediate to apply for the position. This requirement ensures that they possess the language skills necessary for daily use in the work environment to which they are applying, demonstrating mastery of the basic concepts and having the fundamentals of the language, along with the linguistic competence required for the position. The candidate will undergo an interview in English with a company representative to validate compliance with this requirement.

Responsibilities

- Comply with all Ocean Air Enterprises policies and procedures while completing mandatory training.
- Execute store tasks efficiently within company guidelines as assigned by store management.
- Collaborate with store management to perform floor and window placements, markdowns and promotions as needed.
- Promote awareness of Loss Prevention, contributing to the reduction of internal deterioration by prioritizing customer service and cultivating a culture of honesty.
- Show familiarity with merchandise trends, ongoing marketing campaigns and in-store promotions by consistently implementing best practices in marketing, promotion and visual presentation.
- Improve sales by interacting with customers, using suggestive selling techniques and sharing in-depth product knowledge.
- Demonstrate understanding of and compliance with all store safety protocols.
- Give a warm and cordial welcome to guests upon arrival.
- Maintain a neat and well-organized stock in both the front of store area and in the warehouse, including tasks such as straightening, hanging, sizing and displaying merchandise.
- Contribute to inventory management, which encompasses tasks such as receiving and stocking merchandise.
- Always maintain a respectful attitude when interacting with customers, managers and colleagues.
